Today Vienna and I woke up early for a morning in Oranjezon. With the days getting longer, the sun rises earlier by the day. If you don’t want to wake up in the middle of the night to take a photo of the sunrise, this is the moment. A few weeks ago I wen’t out for my first taste of the sunrise. Today it’s Vienna’s turn. Oranjezon is a nature reserve in Zeeland about 90 minutes from home. After the sunrise we would go for a 5 KM walk. Today should be a nice clear day with a decent amount of sun.

We have been to Oranjezon once before. It was a stormy day so our visit was short. When we planned this morning I remembered one spot I would go to for the sunrise. Upon arriving Vienna disagreed about the spot and walked further while I was unpacking and setting up my tripod, camera and filters. A few minutes later she came running back, all excited about a better spot. I followed her to that spot about 50 meters from “my spot”. I’m glad I did that, as you can see in the photo here.
